Father and son trained for many years for Leonard Lavin's Glen Hill Farm ... Tom's brother, Hap, manages the 325-acre Glen Hill Farm in Ocala, Fla.

California-bred sprinter won 14 of 44 career starts, including three stakes, and earned $326,395 ... He was good enough to have a $100,000 race for 2-year-olds named after for him at Del Mar ... Biggest win came in the 1994 Breeders' Cup Distaff when One Dreamer won the race at odds of 47-1 ... Ironically, Lavin's Alberto-Culver company sponsored the Distaff at the time, so he gave the trophy to himself ... In the race, she defeated a pair of Eclipse Award winners – Sky Beauty, 1994 champion older female, and Hollywood Wildcat, 1993 champion 3-year-old filly ... One Dreamer won 12 of 26 starts and earned $1,265,967 ... Other stakes winners include Effectiveness, Linear, Split Run, Openstock, Dell Place, Major Focus, Bonus Pack and Indy Groove, sixth in the 2004 Distaff ... Proctor guided Purim through a three-year campaign that began promisingly with three consecutive wins before a nose loss in the 2005 American Derby. In 2007, Purim won the Col. E.R. Bradley at Fair Grounds, and ran a decent third in the G2 Makers Mark at Keeneland. He also ran a couple sub-par races and Proctor was ready to retire Purim; he needed throat surgery, which he had over the summer. Brought back into training, Purim won the John Henry (Arlington Park) and Keeneland's Turf Mile before running off the board in the Breeders' Cup Mile and Clark Handicap before retiring to stud ... In addition, Proctor has won stakes in ’07 with Cryptoquip (G3 Arlington Breeders' Cup Oaks), Rich in Spirit (G3 Locust Grove H), and Therecomesatiger (Sea O Erin Breeders' Cup Mile H) ... Generally trains about 30 horses and his stable is prominent at Tampa Bay Downs, Gulfstream Park, Churchill Downs and Arlington Park ... No longer runs in Southern California, where Patrick Gallagher has taken over training of that Glen Hill Farm string.
