Breeding/Racing Operation: In nearly 30 years as an owner, Schwartz has campaigned numerous stakes winners including Degenerate Jon, Boom Towner, Only Queens, Perfect Poppy, Seeking the Sky, Fire King, Turnofthecentury, Dr. Root, Beru, Great Intentions, Fernando Po, and perhaps his favorite runner, Three Ring. Schwartz describes his most exciting moment in racing as “winning the Acorn" on the day before the 1999 Belmont Stakes with Three Ring. "She lost all chance at the start of the Kentucky Derby in her previous race and rebounded nicely to show her class in the Acorn,” said Schwartz. Three Ring also captured the Davona Dale and Bonnie Miss that year before she was fatally injured in a freak paddock accident … Has 30 horses in training with Mike Hushion, Eddie Plesa Jr., Eduardo Inda and Rich Schosberg ... Has made five starts in the Breeders’ Cup with horses he has owned either outright or in partnership with others ... His best finish was a third-place finish by Three Ring in the 1998 Juvenile Fillies ... Is a major partner in two-time Breeders’ Cup Sprint starter Attila’s Storm. The consistent but injury-plagued son of Forest Wildcat ran fourth and fifth in the 2005 and '06 Sprint, respectively ... Owns Stonewall Farm, a 700-acre farm in Granite Springs, N.Y., where he keeps approximately 70 horses.
