  • Residence: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
  • Through Oct. 27, 2009, ranked among the top 100 jockeys in North America with $3,280,289 in purse earnings and 44 wins from 355 mounts. He visited the winner's circle 12% of the time and had an in the money rate of 35%.
  • Has had one previous Breeders' Cup mount, finishing 11th aboard A Fleets Dancer in the 2001 Classic.
  • Top mounts in 2009 include Careless Jewel (G1 Alabama Stakes, G2 Delaware Oaks, G2 Fitz Dixon Cotillion Stakes), Bridgetown (G3 Summer Stakes), Authenticat (Ballade Stakes), Rahy's Attorney (Bunty Lawless Stakes), and Simmard (Chief Bearheart Stakes).
  • Rode his 2,000th winner on July 1, 2009; 12-1 longshot Firetheexecutive in the ninth race at Woodbine.
  • Won the 2004 Queen's Plate, Canada’s most important race, aboard Niigon … Rode Archers Bay to victory in the 1998 Prince of Wales Stakes, second leg of the Canadian Triple Crown.
  • Won 2002 Avelino Gomez Award, given for significant contributions to racing.
  • Rode Quiet Resolve to one of the biggest upsets in Woodbine history when the horse returned $91.10 after Hawksley Hill was disqualified in the 1999 Atto Mile.
  • Rode five consecutive Canadian champion 2-year-old fillies: Larkwhistle (1996), Primaly (1997), Fantasy Lake (1998), Hello Seattle (1999) and Poetically (2000).
  • Biggest wins outside Canada were the ’97 Damascus Handicap at Colonial Downs aboard Whiskey Wisdom and ’94 Molly Pitcher at Monmouth on Hey Hazel.
  • Earned Sovereign awards as Canada's outstanding jockey in 1993 and 1994.
  • Won his first riding title at Greenwood in the fall of 1992 and captured five races on a single card on Nov. 12.
  • Won his first race aboard Hammy Hubert on June 21, 1981, at Fort Erie. Won his first stakes aboard La Salle Park in the 1982 Fair Play Stakes at Fort Erie.
  • Landry keeps meticulous notes about every race he rides in, maintaining them in a computer database ... Board member of LongRun Thoroughbred Society and also helps raise money for various children’s charities, including Special Olympics.
