Breeding/Racing Operation: Andersen had riding horses growing up and later showed hunters and played recreational polo ... Andersen and her husband moved from Ft. Lauderdale to Palatka, Fla. in 1985 and established their original River Mist Farm on 85 acres of mostly riverfront property ... Andersen bought her first Thoroughbred broodmare in 1988 and has been in the commercial breeding business ever since, primarily breeding to sell in the select yearling market ... River Mist Farm was relocated to Ocala in 1997 ... The 45-acre farm is home to 10-12 broodmares ... Andersen sold Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint runner Baroness Thatcher as an early yearling for $25,000 at the 2005 Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's January mixed sale ... Natkeeta, the dam of Baroness Thatcher, died in 2006 shortly after foaling a Chapel Royal colt ... Still owns Brief Bliss, the dam of Cherokee Triangle, 11th-place finisher in the Juvenile Turf ... She is expecting a 2008 foal by Limehouse ... "We're just a small breeder, so to have two Breeders' Cup horses is very exciting," Andersen said ... She hopes to add to her current broodmare band with a purchase or two at the 2007 Keeneland November sale ... Other notable horses bred by Andersen include stakes winners Omega Code, Bog Wild, Shot of Gold, Tempest Fugit and Millennium Storm.
