Strengths: Blasted by one of the strongest fields gathered this season in the Flower Bowl despite a slow pace in front of her. Proved the race was not a fluke with her win in the Breeders' Cup.

In The Genes: Daughter of Dubai World Cup winner Singspiel, owner of one of the most impressive international resumes in racing history. Singspiel also was runner-up in the 1996 Breeders’ Cup Turf. At stud, Singspiel has produced a Dubai World Cup winner of his own, Moon Ballad. She’s also a maternal granddaughter of 1991 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile winner Arazi.

Status: Lahudood concluded her career with her victory in the Filly & Mare Turf, one of three 2007 Breeders' Cup winners who were supplemented to their respective races. She will go to Shadwell and begin a new career as a broodmare. She has a 2008 booking to Kingmambo. Her win boosted her bankroll to $1,560,500 and clinched the Eclipse Award for outstanding female turf horse of the year. She ranked eighth by earnings of all horses in North America in 2007.

Bet You Didn’t Know: Prior to Lahudood's win, inaugural BC Filly and Mare Turf winner Soaring Softly (1999) is the only Flower Bowl winner to finish in the money in the history of this race.
