Strengths: She’s consistent, classy, is proven around two turns, possesses finishing punch and has handled Polytrack and traditional dirt, as well as turf.
Weaknesses: The only win on her resume is a maiden sprint score, and with three consecutive runner-up performances, she may be developing a case of seconditis. Her pedigree is also tilted to sprinting.
In the Genes: Her sire Menifee won the 1999 G1 Haskell and earned $1.7 million in an 11-race career. Her dam Heart Warmer won just one of 13 career starts.
Status: With a pair of third-place finishes in 2008, her connections pointed her to the Kentucky Oaks. Last year's Derby-winning rider, Calvin Borel, rode her to a seventh-place finish.
Bet You Didn’t Know: A to the Croft is named for a dance that one of her owners and co-workers created, which they do at the end of the work day, at parties, and at the track when the filly races.

Biographies will be updated if an individual is again a participant in the Breeders' Cup World Championships. Biographies are available for most horses appearing in the top 100 money earnings list, and/or for those who are frequently making headlines in the news starting with the 2006 Triple Crown season.
