/xmlfeed.aspx?action=media%26category=8%26id=28569

Strengths: Fantastic stretch kick and the ability to circle horses with a burst of speed at the top of the stretch. Grade 1 winner at the mile turf distance in the US in 2005, proving his class.

Weaknesses: Lightly raced in recent years, making just 2 starts in 2006, he’s yet to recapture his career-best form of ‘05.

In The Genes: South American and Australian star sire Hussonet is best known for producing imported American distaff division stars like Wild Spirit and Printemps. Host is his only offspring to compete in a BC event to date. As a racehorse, Hussonet competed in the US and was placed in the Count Fleet at Aqueduct.

Status:Retired and sold to Australian interests for stud duties in 2008. He will go to the Sangster family's Swettenham Stud in Nagambie, Victoria

Bet You Didn’t Know:Host is the only Chilean-bred horse to compete in the Breeders’ Cup. In Chile, he was Champion 2YO, 3YO and 2003 Horse of the Year.
