The two have partnered on several horses, including Sly Maid, the dam of Maryfield. They purchased Sly Maid out of the 1997 Keeneland January sale while she was carrying her first foal. She produced six foals for her breeders before she died in 2003 from foaling complications ... Maryfield was consigned to the 2002 Keeneland September yearling sale and purchased by Jim and Alice Sapara's Winsong Farms for $80,000 ... Carroll also bred Mrs. Began, winner of the 2007 $250,000 Princess Elizabeth at Woodbine ... He owns Grandview Farm, a 100-acre property near Belwood, Ontario.
