  • Breeding/Racing Operation: Gorman now owns 9 horses in training with O’Neill through various partnerships ... He also has one broodmare, a yearling and a weanling ... Has enjoyed unexpected success with Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint winner Maryfield, who was claimed for $50,000 in 2006 and has become a multiple graded stakes winner for Gorman and partners Jim Perry and Nick Mestrandrea ... “She is the best horse I’ve owned by a mile,” Gorman said. “Most of the others have been claimers. She is the one who has made this special for me and my family.” ... Maryfield was victorious on Breeders’ Cup day at Churchill Downs in 2006, winning the Emirates Airline Very Subtle, the first race of the program. “It was an unbelievable thrill to win a race on Breeders’ Cup day. I can only imagine what it would be like if Maryfield can do it two years in a row,” Gorman said ... Gorman’s hobbies include playing baseball.
