Professional Background: Retired physican
Racing Background: Grew up loving horses and says he was "happy when he got to America and could afford to buy them."
Breeding/Racing Operation: Currently owns 15 broodmares that he keeps on his Fix Acorn Farm in LaGrange, Ky ... Primarily the farm is a nursery and all the horses are sold as either weanlings or yearlings at Keeneland ... Occasionally, they will race a few horses, but none are in training at the present time ... Makk says that Breeders'Cup Distaff contender Unbridled Belle was the last horse foaled himself ... Her dam Little Bold Belle has since been sold to fellow breeder J.D. Squires ... This will be the first Breeders' Cup with a racing interest for Makk and his partner in the breeding, Joe Sutton.
