Earned a spot in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint via a Breeders' Cup Challenge victory in the Grade 3 Morvich Handicap at Santa Anita on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009.
Strengths: Blazing early jets from the gate, capable of :21-flat opening quarter-miles that simply burn up the other front-runners. Gelding has handled large fields with success because that early speed keeps him from traffic issues. Skilled on the downhill turf course at Santa Anita, which plays well to his Breeders’ Cup aspirations.
Weaknesses: All or nothing historically, he’ll either wire the field or stop completely once headed. One dimensional style leaves him defenseless from a poor start or being hooked by quality opposition early on. Has raced only on the California circuit and is untested in the highest stakes ranks or against national and international rivals.
