Evita Argentina
Trainer: John W. Sadler Last Jockey: Joel Rosario Owner(s): Halo Farms and Three Sisters Thoroughbreds
/xmlfeed.aspx?action=media%26category=8%26id=35602

2009 Record: (8-3-1-0)
2009 Earnings: $406,500
2009 Win %: 37% In-The-Money %: 50%

Strengths: Tactical and patient from her debut start, she is a rarity among successful, early season 2-year-olds. She became the first stakes winner for promising young stallion Candy Ride when winning the Sorrento in come-from-behind fashion. She outran ballyhooed freshman Stardom Bound at Del Mar going 6-1/2 furlongs, showing obvious talent and stamping her class.

Weaknesses: Though sire Candy Ride was a superior racehorse up to 1-1/4 miles, this filly’s maternal pedigree leans heavily toward sprints. She’ll have to prove that she’s more than a closing sprinter when she makes her first attempt around two turns. Evita Argentina is Inexperienced and lightly seasoned as she embarks on the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies.
