A son of Hall of Fame member Mom's Command, Jonesboro took the G2 Prairie Meadows Cornhusker Handicap and G3 Texas Mile Stakes. Kiss the Kid's graded score came in the G3 Appleton Stakes ... Jayeff B has a large broodmare band, including 1990 Breeders’ Cup Sprint winner Safely Kept, raced in partnership with Barry Weisbord. Besides her 1990 victory, she was second in the 1989 edition of the Sprint. Safely Kept received the Eclipse Award as the champion sprinter of 1989, and despite her Breeders’ Cup victory in 1990, she finished second behind Housebuster in Eclipse balloting. Her youngest foal is a 2-year-old Empire Maker colt named Safety Check. ... Richard Santulli later reported that the reserve had been $2 million for the colt, who was later named Meydan City, and has won two of eight starts in Dubai.
