  • Breeding/Racing Operation: Stallions at La Quebrada for 2008 are: Southern Halo, Luhuk, Grand Reward and Russian Blue plus three new arrivals Easing Along, El Corredor and The Leopard ... The three-year-old son of Storm Cat is won the 2007 Generous Stakes-G3 at Hollywood Park ... La Quebrada has 400 hectares and about 200 mares ... El Compinche and Handsome Halo, are among the many Grade 1 winners in Argentina sired by Southern Halo ... The farm was champion breeder (in earnings) for the first time in 1974 and then on five occasions in the 1980s and eight in the 1990s ... La Quebrada was second leading breeder in 2000 and won three Carlos Pellegrini awards, including one for Miss Linda (who also raced in the U.S.) as best 3-year-old filly and one for her dam, Miss Peggy, as the best mare ... As of  the start of 2007, the farm had bred over 170 Group 1 winners ...
