Game On Dude
Game on Dude almost duplicated his sire’s accomplishment, but was run down in the shadow of the wire in the 2011 Breeders’ Cup Classic at Churchill Downs. His runner-up finish was a bit short of the 1998 Classic victory by Awesome Again.
Nevertheless, Game on Dude is back on his game with two victories in three starts through mid-year and apparently again heading toward a Breeders’ Cup Championships date in the Classic, this time on his home track, Santa Anita Park. The 5-year-old gelded son of Awesome Again out of the Devil His Due mare Worldly Pleasure was bred by multiple Eclipse Award-winning breeder Adena Springs and is owned by the partnership of Lanni Family Trust, Bernard Schiappa, Mercedes Stable and Joe Torre’s Diamond Pride.
The Dark bay gelding trained by Hall of Famer Bob Baffert is the second of three foals from Worldly Pleasure and has provided all of the money earned for his dam - $2,344,658. Among the major victories scored by Game on Dude are the 2011 Santa Anita Handicap and the Goodwood, both G1 events on his home track.
