Race Comments: POUNCED was under a firm hold in the early going, settled in good position along the backstretch, continued well in hand while saving ground to the turn, angled out in upper stretch made a strong run to challenge inside the furlong marker and edged clear under steady urging. BRIDGETOWN sprinted clear along the inside, set the pace along the rail to the top of the stretch, opened a clear advantage in midstretch, drifted a bit while battling into deep stretch and yielded grudgingly. INTERACTIF pressed the pace three wide to the top of the stretch, remained a factor into midstretch and weakened late. AWESOME ACT was rated in the middle of the pack on the backstretch, raced between horses while launching his move on the turn, swung six wide at the quarter pole and rallied belatedly in the middle of the track. BUZZWORD (GB) bobbled at the start, was unhurried for six furlongs, swung between rivals while five wide at the quarter pole and closed some ground with a mild late rally. DEAN'S KITTEN raced well back to the turn and improved his position with a mild late rally. GALLANT GENT was well placed between horses for a half, lodged a four wide move to threaten on the turn then flattened out. VISCOUNT NELSON trailed after breaking very slowly, raced well back to the turn, angled out in upper stretch and failed to threaten with a late run between rivals. BECKY'S KITTEN pressed the early pace between horses, steadied in traffic on the far turn and gave way approaching the stretch. KING LEDLEY chased four wide along the backstretch, raced just off the pace from outside to the top of the stretch and faltered in the drive. ZIP QUIK failed to mount a serious rally while saving ground. CODOY was outrun to the top of the stretch and steadied while well back in upper stretch.
