Jockey:
R. Douglas
Trainer:
W. Catalano
Owner:
Frank C. Calabrese
Breeder:
Frank C. Calabrese

The speedy chestnut daughter of Rahy capped a sensational 2-year-old season by leading from the starting gate to the wire, winning the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies by 1 ½ lengths over Octave, earning the Eclipse Award as divisional champion.

Trained by Wayne Catalano for owner and breeder Frank Calabrese, Dreaming of Anna was named in memory of Calabrese’s sister, Anna Anderson, who died of cancer at the age of 48. Dreaming of Anna would run 13 times following her debut season, winning six of those races, including four Grade 3 stakes, three of them during her final campaign of 2008. She retired with 10 victories and $2,024,550 in purse earnings, more than $1.2 million coming in her juvenile year.
