ARCADIA, Calif. (April 10, 2014) — The Breeders’ Cup today unveiled the official event logo for the 2014 Breeders’ Cup World Championships to be held at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California on October 31 and November 1.
This year’s Breeders’ Cup, which annually attracts the top Thoroughbred horses from around the globe, will mark the eighth time that Santa Anita will be the site of the World Championships races, and for the third consecutive year.
The 31st Breeders’ Cup will be televised live by the NBC Sports Group, climaxing with the $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic, which will be broadcast live and in primetime on NBC on Saturday, November 1.
Incorporating a touch of Hollywood, the 2014 logo features a ribbon of film strip rolling through the center of the image, highlighted by “World Championships” in gold. The words “Santa Anita Park, California” and this year’s dates “October 31 & November 1” form the foundation of the image with the year “2014” appearing in white with purple background to the right. The Breeders’ Cup signature brand mark in gold sits prominently at the top of the logo encircled by a purple border.
