NEW YORK (October 21, 2014) – The Breeders’ Cup has today announced that it will once again partner with the award-winning California-based bakery Goodie Girls to offer a signature Breeders’ Cupcake at the 31st World Championships, taking place Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. Created by Goodie Girls owner and previous Cupcake Wars winner Annette Starbuck, this year’s signature flavor is a seasonal classic: Cinnamon Roll, which captures the essence of fall with a brown sugar and cinnamon filling and decadent cream cheese frosting. In addition to Cinnamon Roll, Goodie Girls will also be offering a 2014 Breeders’ Cupcake Collection that includes Banana Bread, S'mores and last year’s signature Pumpkin Pancake.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be working with Annette and Goodie Girls once again,” says Peter Rotondo, Vice President of Media and Entertainment of the Breeders’ Cup. “Their cupcakes are one of the most sought-after treats at the World Championships; just look at those flavors – that’s quite a superfecta of confection!”

The official Breeders’ Cupcake, as well as Breeders’ Cupcake Collection, will be sold on-site at the World Championships, being held at Santa Anita Park near Los Angeles, in The Enclosure, for $10 for a four-pack collection. A testament to their popularity, Goodie Girls is also creating an additional 2,700 cupcakes for a number of VIP events taking place during the World Championships. Over 5,000 Breeders’ Cupcakes are expected to be consumed during Breeders’ Cup week.

In addition to at the World Championships, the Breeders’ Cupcake Collection will be on sale today through November 2 at the Goodie Girls location in La Cañada Flintridge (637 W. Foothill Blvd.), and can also be ordered by calling the La Cañada store at (818) 790-7718.

“The Breeders’ Cup is an incredible event to be a part of,” says Annette Starbuck, owner of Goodie Girls. “The crowd is fantastic and fans just want to have a good time. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to once again partner with the Breeders’ Cup and provide a sweet treat that can be enjoyed by attendees of all ages.”
