LEXINGTON, KY. (September 16, 2015) – The Breeders’ Cup today announced that Steve Penley, known for his iconic American subjects ranging from past presidents to historical themes and super consumer brands, has been named the official artist for the 2015 Breeders’ Cup World Championships. Penley has created a signature image, available to the public, employing a rich montage technique celebrating the Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Ky., on October 30-31.

The Breeders’ Cup is Thoroughbred racing’s most prestigious international event, consisting of 13 races and purses and awards totaling $26 million. It is also an annual gathering of stars from entertainment, business, sports and celebrities from all walks of life, and held at one of the world’s most picturesque horse racing venues. The Breeders’ Cup will be televised live by the NBC Sports Group.
