Television Tapings

It’s fun, it’s free… and you get to find out the plot line of your favorite show long before your friends do. For visitors, being in the audience of a television show taping is a favorite Los Angeles experience. The following guide provides a number of contact numbers and show schedules to help make it easier to watch your favorite stars at work.

  • Tickets may be obtained from a number of sources. The best way to assure the date and show that you want is to write well in advance to the appropriate agency. Remember to enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope. Several ticket outlets do take limited phone reservations the week of the show—call ahead to be sure. Many sources also distribute tickets on a first-come basis at their box offices.
  • Once you have tickets, remember to get to the studio early. A ticket does not guarantee a seat, as many shows distribute tickets in excess of studio capacity.
  • Check the minimum age requirement of the show. Verification of age may be required. Remember that cameras, cellular phones and recording devices are strictly prohibited.
  • Prime production season runs August through March, with most shows on hiatus during the summer months.
