BUENOS AIRES (May 23, 2013) – A field of 19 horses has been entered for Saturday’s Gran Premio 25 (G1) at San Isidro with the winner receiving the first automatic berth of the year into the Breeders’ Cup Turf (GI) at Santa Anita Park on November 2. The Gran Premio 25, to be run at 1 ½ miles for 3-year-olds and up on the turf course, is part of the international Breeders’ Cup Challenge, a global series of 67 stakes races whose winners receive automatic berths into a corresponding race of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.

Sheinman will spearhead the overall marketing, business development sponsorship sales, television, digital media and communications initiatives for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, Thoroughbred racing’s year-ending international event, which will be held November 1-2 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif.
Breeders’ Cup Champions Lure and Invasor (ARG) were among five horses and one person elected Friday to the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, joining Thoroughbreds Housebuster, McDynamo, and Tuscalee and jockey Calvin Borel.
SYDNEY, (April 20, 2013) – Raffles Thoroughbred Syndicate’s Sacred Falls (NZ) passed the favored Pierro in the final yards to capture Saturday’s BMW Doncaster Mile (G1) at Royal Randwick and became the second horse to qualify for the 2013 Breeders’ Cup Mile through the Breeders’ Cup Challenge series.
The Breeders’ Cup Challenge is a global series of 67 stakes races whose winners earn automatic starting positions into a corresponding race of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, which will be held at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif., Nov. 1-2.
