Eric Kronfeld's Nereid has been declared out of the Nov. 2 Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf (gr. IT) after sustaining a minor injury, according to trainer John Shirreffs.The daughter of Rock Hard Ten , second to Marketing Mix in the Rodeo Drive Stakes (gr. IT) last out, apparently kicked the wall of her stall, causing her to be "off in her right hind," the trainer told the Breeders' Cup notes team the morning of Oct. 31.Nereid had been scheduled to break from post 5 in the 1 1/4-mile Filly and Mare Turf under Julien Leparoux.
