Challenged by the undefeated post-time favorite Executiveprivilege in the final furlong, Beholder responded to urging from rider Garrett Gomez, digging in to win by one length. Executiveprivilege finished 4 1/4 lengths ahead of Dreaming of Julia, who suffered her first career loss in crossing the wire third.
