2020 Refund Information & FAQ
With the announcement that the 2020 Breeders’ Cup World Championships will be held without fans in attendance on Friday, November 6th and Saturday, November 7th, all tickets and parking passes purchased will be fully refunded. Ticket and parking pass buyers do not need to do anything further.
Due to the high volume of refunds please allow up to 30 days for your refund transaction to be processed. You will receive a confirmation email once your refund has been processed. Once your refund is processed, please allow up to 10 days for the credit to post to your account.
If the account information used to purchase your tickets has changed, please contact the Breeders’ Cup Customer Service team at 859-514-9428 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you purchased an Official Ticket Package from Breeders’ Cup Experiences, you should expect to receive an email from email@example.com in the coming days.
If you purchased tickets through a secondary market provider you will need to contact them directly. Breeders’ Cup is not responsible for tickets purchased through a secondary market provider.

1. Why did the Breeders’ Cup make the decision to run spectator-free?
A: The health and safety of our fans, participants, and athletes has always been our top priority. The decision to run without fans was not made lightly and we are just as disappointed about these unfortunate circumstances as anyone, however, we simply cannot jeopardize the health and safety of our fans and the local Lexington community.
2. How will ticket buyers be refunded?
A: All ticket buyers will receive a refund to the payment method used to purchase their tickets. They do not need to do anything further. Due to the high volume of refunds please allow up to 30 days for refund transactions to be processed. Ticket buyers will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been processed. 3. Can 2020 ticket buyers roll their tickets for a credit towards the 2021 Breeders’ Cup at Del Mar?
A: Unfortunately, 2020 ticket buyers cannot receive a credit towards tickets for the 2021 Breeders’ Cup. However, 2020 ticket buyers will be placed in a pre-sale group to purchase tickets prior to them going on sale to the public.
4. How do 2020 ticket buyers obtain a refund for tickets purchased through the secondary market?
A: The Breeders’ Cup cannot refund tickets purchased through the secondary market. 2020 ticket buyers who purchased through the secondary market should contact the company through which they purchased their tickets for a refund.
5. How do 2020 ticket buyers obtain a refund for ticket packages purchased through Breeders’ Cup Experiences?
A: If you purchased an Official Ticket Package from Breeders’ Cup Experiences, you should expect to receive an email from email@example.com in the coming days.
6. Will 2020 ticket buyers have priority access to tickets when the Breeders’ Cup returns to Keeneland Race Course in 2022?
A: Yes, we will offer the same or similar seats to all ticket buyers from 2020 for the 2022 Breeders’ Cup. 2020 ticket buyers do not need to do anything at this time. Breeders’ Cup representatives will reach out to all 2020 ticket buyers in early 2022 to secure a ticket order for that year.
7. What is the process for obtaining a refund for Park and Ride Shuttle passes?
A: A full refund for Park and Ride Shuttle passes will be issued and those that have purchased a park and ride shuttle pass will receive an email from firstname.lastname@example.org with further information. 8. What is the process for obtaining a refund for hotel, flight, and other travel reservations?
A: Please call the hotel and/or airline directly to inquire about cancellations or refunds.
