BC or Bust

A cross country trip, a two-man stroll from Lexington to Louisville and a 50-person relay from Keeneland to Churchill Downs...what do these three things have in common? They are all ways the Paulick Report and Breeders’ Cup Charities have combined over the last three years to raise nearly $250,000 for several great causes in combination with Thoroughbred racing's annual World Championships!

We're back again this year. And while Ray Paulick and Brad Cummings are as fit as ever, there's not much chance of walking from Lexington to Los Angeles for this year's Breeders’ Cup at the world class Santa Anita Racetrack. Instead, we'll be digging into Brad's bag of tricks and calling on the skills he learned for his first career as a musical theatre performer. The 2012 Breeders’ Cup or Bust will follow Ray, Brad and newcomer Scott Jagow as they travel across the country in an SUV finding opportunities for Brad to sing the National Anthem in preparation for his final performance on the Friday of Breeders’ Cup. Step aside Josh Groban, Cummings is coming to Hollywood!

  • O say can you see by the dawn's early light,
  • What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
  • Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
  • O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
  • And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
  • Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
  • O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave,
  • O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
