Breeders' Cup Announces Enhanced Digital Platforms Ahead of 2017 World Championships
SAN DIEGO (October 20, 2017) - Breeders’ Cup, one of Thoroughbred horseracing’s most prestigious international events, today announces several digital enhancements to the brand’s online platforms, including a new, easy-to-navigate mobile app and redesigned website. Developed to provide fans with important information and details on the 2017 Breeders’ Cup World Championships in real time, the refurbished platforms allow for a seamless experience for both those on-site and at home.
Available for iOS and Android devices, the Official Breeders’ Cup mobile app features real time updates and details on the 2017 event, including information on all 13 championship races, participating horses and official results. Additionally, the user-friendly interface offers ticket information, seating and walking maps, and the official event program, making it easier than ever for fans to prepare for the weekend. Other notable features include parking and transportation information, directions to Del Mar racetrack, and a seamless Uber integration to help fans plan their trip to and from the track.
In conjunction with the launch of the Official mobile app, Breeders’ Cup is also pleased to introduce its redesigned website, which offers an enhanced user experience and visual appeal while also providing a more robust supply of quality information. The new platform boasts a sleek design that combines clean aesthetics with accelerated function. Through the upgraded website, users enjoy a more responsive experience as they interact with the site across multiple platforms, allowing them to research horses, view upcoming events, and plan their trip to Del Mar in a unified and intuitive manner.
The new website and mobile app will offer live streams of official Breeders’ Cup events, including the Pre-Entry Announcement show on Wednesday, October 25, morning workouts starting Thursday, October 26, the Rood & Riddle Post-Position Draw on October 30 and the Breeders’ Cup Player’s Show on Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4 which will show all 13 championship races live. The app will offer a unique 360° Paddock Cam that will allow users to experience what it’s like to be in the Del Mar paddock on Breeders’ Cup weekend.

The interactive sticker sets, which can be used within personal messages and imagery, reference personalities, events, and terminology central to the horseracing industry and provide smarter and more contemporary ways for Breeders’ Cup fans to participate and engage with the horseracing event.
