Breeders’ Cup Pre-Entry Announcement to be Televised Live on TVG and Streamed on BreedersCup.com on Wednesday, October 23
ARCADIA, Calif. (October 18, 2019) – Pre-entered fields for the 2019 Breeders’ Cup World Championships will be announced live on TVG along with the Breeders’ Cup website, Official Mobile App and YouTube, Twitter and Facebook pages on Wednesday, October 23 at 11:30 a.m. ET.
The 36th Breeders’ Cup World Championships, consisting of 14 races with purses and awards totaling more than $30 million, will be held for a record tenth time at Santa Anita Park on Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2.
The live stream will be hosted by Breeders’ Cup Players’ Show talent Gabby Gaudet and Mike Joyce.
Breeders’ Cup Pre-Entry is the first stage of a two-stage entry payment process for all owners intending to start a horse in a Breeders’ Cup World Championships race. The first payment is due on Monday, October 21. The second payment is due on Monday, October 28 when entries are taken for all 14 Breeders’ Cup races and post positions are drawn.

While 27 of the colts who have won the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile have gone on to be named Eclipse Champion Two Year Old Male, the number is even higher for fillies after taking the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1).

27 times in 35 editions, the TVG Breeders’ Cup Juvenile winner has been named the Eclipse Champion Two Year Old Male. 2019 hero Storm the Court, who upset the Juvenile field at odds of 45-1, could be the 28th horse to earn that honor. He has two wins and a grade 1 placing in four starts this year for earnings of $1,172,951.
