Christine A. Moore

Christine A. Moore started as a costume designer in the theater. In 1994 she founded Christine A. Moore Millinery based in the heart of the fashion district of NYC. She is best known for her explosive Kentucky Derby styles, three of which have been in the Kentucky Derby Museum. Christine has been on the TODAY show numerous times, as well as on Access Hollywood and countless news segments across the country to talk about hats and fashion. She is the first milliner in the history of the sport to create the model for official and featured titles. NBC calls her the milliner to the Triple Crown, and Breeder’s Cup calls her their official milliner. She has been named featured milliner of the Kentucky Derby three time and is the official hat Designer for America’s Best Racing, TOBA, the Jim McKay Maryland Million Day, Arlington Million, The Iroquois Steeplechase and featured milliner at Keeneland, the Preakness Stakes, Belmont Stakes and the Florida Derby.

Her wide range of styles, quality and comfort has made her the top hat designer in the U.S. Christine has brought the art of millinery to life through her distinctive designs and use of hand-made silk trims, her attention to detail, and her unsurpassed millinery skills. Her hats have graced many magazine covers including InStyle with Katy Perry, Vanity Fair with Jennifer Lopez, and Harper’s Bazaar with Kylie Jenner. Celebrities love Christine’s hats too! Christine's hats are worn at all Breeders’ Cup events.

We recommend contacting her in advance so you can have your own unique custom Breeders’ Cup design. Christine and her team will help choose the style that is right for you and coordinate the colors with all your Breeders’ Cup outfits. She will also be more than happy to design your fascinator or hat in your favorite silk colors!
