What: Taste of LA, presented by NBC4, Southern Calfiornia, is a celebration of unique and signature Los Angeles cuisine, taking place for the second time during the 30th running of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, November 1-2 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, CA. Breeders’ Cup is Thoroughbred racing’s most prestigious international event, and attracts the best horses, trainers and owners from across the globe. Nine Los Angeles chefs and food vendors will be cooking up a range of culinary offerings in Seabiscuit Court and priced at $7 for attending guests to enjoy during the races.

General admission tickets to the Breeders’ Cup can still be purchased at www.breederscup.com, and the event will be televised live on the NBC Sports Network and NBC.

Goodie Girls Cupcakes – Annette Starbuck, multi-award-winning founder of Goodie Girls, has been the official baker of the Breeders’ Cupcake for two years now. This year, she and her team of bakers have created a Breeders’ Cupcake mini collection featuring Pumpkin Pancake, which is the Official Breeders’ Cupcake, Chocolate Salted Butterscotch, Strawberries n’ Cream and Carrot Ginger.

Bling bling dumplings – Inspired by handmade street food while on a visit back to Taiwan, bling bling dumpling reinvents family recipes with new and inventive flavorings that satisfy all, from the heartiest of vegans to the most discerning of omnivores. Guests can choose from their Ginger Pork, Chicken & Thai Basil and Vegan bling bling dumplings, all made with local and organic ingredients.

Coolhaus – An architecturally-inspired, gourmet ice cream sandwich company, Coolhaus has grown into a leading, innovative small dessert business with multiple trucks and storefronts in Los Angeles, New York City, Austin, and Dallas, and their pre-packaged ice cream sandwiches stocked in more than 1,000 gourmet grocery stores across the country. Coolhaus will be offering its ice cream sammies in Snickerdoodle cookie + Salted Caramel ice cream, Chocolate Chip cookie + Tahitian Vanilla Bean ice cream and Oatmeal Raisin cookie + Baked Apple ice cream.

Currywurst – Delivering the very best of this treasured and traditional German dish, founder Kai Loebach has been bringing Currywurst and some of his childhood favorites, to the streets of Los Angeles since 2011. Using local, farm fresh and seasonal ingredients, visitors can enjoy Currywurst’s signature Grilled Hungarian Sausage over Yam Mousseline and Caramelized Onions with Homemade Apricot Mustard.

El Huarache Azteca – Located in Highland Park, El Huarache Azteca has been serving authentic Mexican cuisine since 1996. Guests can order their signature Huaraches, which are masa tortillas stuffed with beans and topped with meat, cheese, sour cream, onion and cilantro.

Komodo – Chef Erwin Tjahyadi is the rising culinary star behind one of the most popular mobile food and café concepts in Los Angeles. Komodo combines traditional French cuisine with Asian fusion flavors, which guests can experience in their signature Nasi Goreng, a dish made of Indonesian Steak Fried Rice, Garlic Aioli and Fried Egg.

Papa Cristo’s Greek Grill – Founded by Chrys Chrys, a.k.a. Papa Cristo, in 1990, this restaurant has been serving authentic Greek cuisine with traditional meats, seasonings, cheeses, olive oils and other culturally true ingredients. The restaurant is a Los Angeles institution and has been frequently featured on food and cooking channels. Guests can try their classic Gyro with Ground Beef and Lamb Blend with Spices, served over Hot Pita Bread with Greek Feta Cheese, Red Onion and Tomato.

The Park’s Finest – Not quite like Southern BBQ rib shacks, nor traditional Filipino fiesta food, The Park’s Finest provides premium quality BBQ with a distinct flavor grown from 20 years of experience and family tradition. Their downtown LA eatery provides fast casual convenience with a sit-down dining experience. Guests can try their San Pablo Pulled Pork, which is smoked for sixteen hours and seasoned with Himalayan salt, pepper blend and their own TPF garlic blend and served on pan de sal.

Sno Con Amor – Offering syrups made with all natural ingredients, such as fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and flower extracts, Sno Con Amor is a rare and delicious treat created by native Angeleno Lauda Flores. Sno Con Amor can be found at the Hollywood Farmers Market from March to October, but in November, fans can get their fix at The Breeders’ Cup and try flavors such as Coconut, Blackberry & Lemon, Watermelon & Basil and Mojito (Lime & Mint).
