NEW YORK (October 25, 2014) — The Breeders’ Cup announced today an agreement making 14 Hands Winery an official partner of the Breeders Cup World Championships and the name-in-title sponsor of the $2 million 14 Hands Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies at this year’s Breeders’ Cup World Championships.

The Breeders’ Cup World Championships is Thoroughbred racing’s most prestigious international event, consisting of 13 grade one races and purses and awards totaling $26 million. The event takes place October 31-November 1 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif., and will be televised on NBC and NBCSN.

The 14 Hands Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies, a grade one race for 2-year-old fillies contested at 1 1/16 miles on the main track, will be run on Saturday, November 1. Since its inception in 1984, 26 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies winners have been voted Thoroughbred racing’s Eclipse Award Champion 2-year-old filly.

As part of this agreement, 14 Hands and the Breeders’ Cup will collaborate to develop media and entertainment programs designed to support this historic horse racing event on a local and national level. 14 Hands wines will be prominently served to the international guests attending the Breeders’ Cup at all officially sanctioned events on location at Santa Anita Park and in the surrounding areas.
